Srinagar: Congress on Friday demanded a month-long session of Jammu and Kashmir Legislature saying the usual 10 to 15 days duration were not enough for discussing all the problems faced by the people of the State.
“Members of the Legislative Assembly or Legislative Council must get the opportunity to put forth their views and to debate the issues threadbare in the august House, so that issues of every nature can be addressed. The government should have a session of at least one month,” Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee President Ghulam Ahmad Mir said in a statement. He said 10 or 15 days session was not enough to debate and discuss every issue pertaining to common masses.
