JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress President G.A Mir expressed confidence over the party’s presence in all the three regions of the state and urged the party cadre to move ahead with programmes and policies’ of Congress at national in the State, while addressing a meeting of senior party functionaries at party headquarters here, on Saturday.
Former Union Minister and Senior Congress Leader Makhan Lal Fotedar was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Discussions were held with regard to over all socio economic development presently prevailing in Jammu and Kashmir.
Mir further said Congress being a constructive opposition always wanted that people’s issue must be addressed on top priority and these should not be taken as for granted. “Our concern is only that people of the State should not suffer due to the wrong policies of the Coalition Government. We have and will always raise our voice against wrong policies of Coalition Govt towards the State and the people” he said.
Speaking on the occasion Makhan Lal Fotedar said that he was delighted to see the Congress Party now in a very strong position not only in Kashmir, but in Jammu and Ladakh also, urged the party cadres to remain steadfast in serving the people and work for their well being and development of the State.
