JAMMU: Commercial Taxes Department on Wednesday organised an interactive session on ‘Goods and Services Tax’ to generate awareness and educate the trading fraternity, members of the Bar, Chartered Accountants/Sales tax practitioners and other stakeholders about the Act. Master Trainers from the Department gave a detailed overview of the GST Act and apprised the participants that the implementation of the Act would result in a unified market and the ill effects of cascading would be mitigated.
The participants appreciated the initiative taken by the Department to apprise them about the GST.
