JAMMU: Former State President Nationalist Youth Congress Youth Wing, Gourav Kapoor, who recently joined Congress Party in the presence of General Secretary AICC Ambika Soni, was appointed District General Secretary Jammu (Urban).
Talking to reporters here today, Gourav Kapoor said, “I am heartily thankful to State Congress Committee and especially to Anil Chopra for appointing me as District General Secretary (U).”
Kapoor said Congress Party is a secular party in India and that’s why it ruled the country for many decades. He reposed his immense faith in Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Vice President Rahul Gandhi, saying their relentless work to develop the country has inspired him to be part of the party. Taking dig at other political parties, he said such parties which made government by taking religious issues rather than the issue of development can’t survive for long period.
“Our coming generation needs a clean politics without religious politics,” he said.
