JAMMU: In order to promote sport climbing among girls and also to strengthen the J and K State women team, Tawi Trekkers J and K shall organise an 11-day exclusive summer coaching camp at Sprawling Buds School, Chinore, here from 27th June to 7th July.
The coaching shall be imparted by Anil Kumar, a sport climbing coach, who shall be assisted by national women climbers. It may be mentioned here that the club uses only international standard climbing equipment for training as well as competitions. “Those climbers who excel during these camps shall also be deputed for further coaching at international standard climbing walls at Indian Mountaineering Foundation (IMF), New Delhi, the national body for adventure sports in the country,” informed Vice President of Tawi Trekkers, Ram Khajuria.
