JAMMU: A complete pen down strike was observed in all the government offices, PSU’s, semi government offices across all the District Headquarters of Jammu Division including Kathua, Udhampur, Samba, Reasi, Rajouri, Poonch, Kishtwar, Ramban, Doda and Leh and Kargil on the call given by Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association to mark protest against the State Government for not implementing its agreement of removing the pay anomalies of the clerical cadre.
In Jammu the strike was led by Association President, Babu Hussain Malik in which the protesters raised slogans in support of their demands.
All the representatives in one voice appealed to all the clerical cadre employees and other employees of Jammu Division to to assemble in front of Press Club, Jammu on 10th December to show their solidarity with the Clerical Cadre Employees to get the matter of removal of pay anomalies settled once for all.
They appealed to the government to implement the High Court order in letter and Spirit regarding removal of pay anomalies of the clerical cadre at an earliest.
The agitating employees were demanding removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, DPC in all departments after every six months, implementation of the Seventh Pay Commis-sion and increase of medical allowance from Rs. 300 to Rs. 2000 per month. Among those who joined the protest include Bharat Bushan, Khurshid Ahmad Dewani, Ashok Singh, Javed Akhoon, Yash Paul Sharma, Meenakshi Sharma, Jasw-ant Singh, Ansuya Gupta, Seva Ram Rathore, Munish Sharma, Vishwa Eandhu, Farida Bano, Vikas Cha-nder, Mohd Lateef, Vikas Sharma, Mukhtyar Singh, Bharat Bushan Kotwal, Mohammad Sadiq, Arun Sharma, Lekh Raj, Naresh Sharma, Om Prakash, Kapil Gupta, Udny Singh Pathania, Sandeep Singh, Shamsher Singh, Ranbir Singh, Darshan Angurana, Sham Lal, Sudershan Singh, Ali Mohd, Mangal Singh, Rafiq Mohd, Mohd Yaqoob Bhat, Feezo Jawahar Bashir, Vipan Eangroo, Mohan Lal and Sanjeev Singh Jamwal.
