JAMMU: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri on Thursday asked the mainstream political parties to clear their stands regarding regularisation of the services of 62,000 casual/seasonal labourers/ ad hoc and contractual employees and others long pending demands of the government employees and pensioners so that uncertainty and confusion among them come to end.
Addressing a largely attended rally here, Shastri demanded that these parties should incorporate their firm stand regarding the fate of these workers and other demands of the State Govt, employees and pensioners in their election manifesto as political commitment adding that if the particular party is sincere about these issues.
He said that these parties should make mention of these issues in their manifestoes as these issues will be a major political plank in the coming election of Assembly polls.
He reiterated the demands of employees like-release of pending installments of 17% DA due from January and July, implementing CP Fund scheme, declaring 7th Pay Commission as a National Pay Commission, amending SRO 64, reorganizing Floriculture Department beside granting technical grades, providing uniform and clearing all GP Fund bills of gardeners laying pending in additional treasury new plot were other demands highlighted in the rally.
Ragupal, Madan Lal, Darshan Baba, Tilak Raj, Mohd Shafi, Surinder Kumar and Barkat Ram also addressed the rally.
