SAMBA: District Jammu girls won all the titles of Inter District Division Level Basketball Tournament, organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports, Samba at Kristu Jyoti Convent School, which concluded on Monday.
The tournament was held under the guidance of Joint Director General DYSSO, Madan Lal, who was also the Chief Guest in the closing ceremony. Tehsildar Samba R.K Rathore graced the occasion as Guest of Honour.
A total of 162 students participated in the tournament.
Other dignitaries present in the closing ceremony were Naib Tehsildar Rajinder Singh, Rakesh Verma, Vijay Singh Slathia, Pardeep Singh and Raghubir Singh, all Zonal Physical Education Officers.
Result GIRLS: U/14: Jammu defeated Udhampur District by 10-04; U/17: Jammu outplayed Udhampur by 06-02; and U/19: district Jammu trounced Udhampur district by 26-00.
For Jammu District, Tamanna, Vidhi Khajuria, Ananya Rathore, Amitoj Kour, Shagun Lalotra, Romanya Rathore, Parul Sharma and Kiran Kour played well in respective categories.
