Class 10 student killed, two injured in road mishap

RAMBAN: A students of 10 class got killed whereas other two got injured when an oil tanker skidded off from the road and rolled down in a deep gorge at Baghu Nallah of Batote district Ramban on Wednesday.
According to a report, the tanker (JK02AE-3083) loaded with diesel was on its way from Jammu to Srinagar. On reaching Baghu Nallah skidded off resulting in on the spot death of a student while leaving other two injured.
The deceased was identified as Rasiq Ahmed Ghasi of Naina Sangam in Kashmir, class Xth student.

The injured were identified as Mohammed Irshad Bhat of Battpora, Pulwama who was the driver of the tanker and his brother Mohammed Asif Bhat son of Ayoub Bhat resident of Sangam Kashmir. Both were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu from the SKME, Hospital, Batote. According to the eyewitnesses, the driver was overtaking another vehicle when he lost control over the vehicle.
