Dear Editor,
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is right when he says “social harmony can be achieved only by following the path shown by Babasaheb”, but one wonders why this did not strike him when the student community in JNU and the University of Hyderabad was in turmoil. Babasaheb dreamt of an India founded on the ideals of social justice and gender equality. Instead of offering fulsome encomiums to B.R Ambedkar and fighting for his legacy, our governments and leaders must strive to realise his vision of India where “every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low”.
Ram Pal,
Samba
