AKHNOOR: A Civil Military Liaison Conference hosted by the Crossed Swords Division was chaired by Brigadier Vivek Sharma, Deputy GOC, Crossed Swords Division on Saturday at Akhnoor. It was attended by the prominent civil administration officials from Akhnoor Sub-Division to include SDM Akhnoor- Suresh Sharma, SDM Chouki Choura- Jagdish Singh, SDM Khour- Rakesh Kumar, Exec Engr (PWD)- Rajan Mengi, Exec Engr (FCD)- Chander Shekhar and SDPO Akhnoor- Naresh Kumar, along with their representatives.
The Deputy GOC welcomed all the officials to the conference and complemented them for an excellent synergy and between the security forces and the local administration. After a review of the security situation various issues of development, assistance in execution of projects, enhanced civil-military participation were discussed.
The conference was also aimed at discussing issues pertaining to land cases and development of area in and around Akhnoor-Khour-Tanda. Major General Kulpreet Singh, GOC, Crossed Swords Division in his interaction later with the local civil administration complemented them for their support and cooperation with the armed forces and assured of more such interactions in future.
