CISF restores purse to owner

NEW DELHI: The Central Industrial Security Forces (CISF) as part of a special drive at various metro station in Yellowline from Jahangirpuri to Huda City Centre Metro Stations restored a purse to a woman commuter. The owner of the purse Kavita, 35 years, wife of Umesh, resident of Red Light, Chhatarpur, Delhi who approached the security check point at Chhatarpur Metro station complained about the theft.
The CISF team after reviewing the CCTV footage found another woman, who has been identified as Archana, 20 yrs, daughter of Ram Kumar, resident of Ghatagaon, Sec-56 Gurgaon, Haryana, was seen picking up the bag. She was monitored through CCTV and was apprehended at M.G. Road Metro Station and was brought to the Station Control Room.
On enquiry, she confessed that she took the purse and also revealed that she was active in earlier bag lifting cases at various metro stations. Later, CISF recovered the purse and handed over to the original owner. The woman bag lifter was handed over to DMRP Qutub Minar for further action.
