JAMMU: Confederation to Indian Industries (CII) J&K State Council Members on Wednesday called on Kavinder Gupta to congratulate him on his appointment as Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Industries & Commerce and Transport.
During the interaction, CII delegation discussed about the potential sectors of J&K and the need to bring competitiveness at policy and regulatory levels for enhancing the investment level in the State.
The delegation highlighted CII India@75 and Mission 2022, which contributes to the socio-economic development of India and has embarked on a mission to facilitate India’s transformation into an economically strong, technologically vital and morally sound global leader, when India turns 75 in the year 2022.
Aligning with the mission, CII proposed the participation of J&K State Government in Global Exhibition Services, 2018 which would help in providing a platform to J&K for showcasing their potential, strength and initiatives towards Services exports to other states.
Deputy Chief Minister commended the work done by CII J&K State Council and assured all possible support from his department.
He also appreciated the efforts of CII for contributing in accelerating the economy of the state, and to connect the potential imbibed in various sectors across the globe by organising summits and missions in other countries.
Rahul Sahai, Sanjay Puri, Raju Choudhary, Vicky Mahajan, Rajesh Sharma, Prof BC Sharma, Prof Sameer, Harbinder Singh, Darshan Lal, Shantanu Gupta and Vivek Bhardwaj were present in the meeting.
