MENDHAR: With 400 female and 427 male voters casting their votes in polling station Chungan-B in 86-Mendhar Assembly Constituency where the Election Commission of India had ordered re-poll on Friday, the poll percentage in the Mendhar Assembly segment and the district has gone up to 79.48 per cent and 77.10 per cent respectively. Out of 934 voters in Chungan-B 827 exercised their franchise.
The Election Commission of India under Section 68 (1) (b) of the Jammu and Kashmir Representation of the People Act, 1957, had on Thursday declared the poll taken on 2nd December, 2014 (Tuesday) at the Polling Station 34-Chungan-B of Mendhar Assembly Constituency, as void and ordered re-poll.
