Chugh slams AAP Govt, calls Punjab flood crisis a ‘Mann-Made Disaster’

STATE TIMES NEWS

NEW DELHI: BJP National General Secretary and J&K BJP Prabhari, Tarun Chugh on Monday launched a scathing attack on the AAP-led Punjab government, blaming Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann for the ongoing flood crisis in the state.

“The reason Punjab is being led towards disaster is the open permission given by the Aam Aadmi Party’s Bhagwant Mann government for illegal mining” Chugh said.
“This is a Mann-made disaster. The people of Punjab are paying the price for Bhagwant Mann’s incompetence, failure, and inexperience,” he said.
“Without even conducting a real assessment of the flood that has hit Punjab, the Bhagwant Mann government is creating a fuss about a package, whereas the truth is that the central government has kept more than Rs 11,000 crore at Punjab’s disposal for disaster management,” Chugh said.
“The central government has already placed over Rs 11,000 crore at Punjab’s disposal for disaster management. PM Modi and the Home Minister have personally assured every possible help,” Chugh noted.
He accused the AAP government of failing to form special teams or carry out damage assessment, calling its response chaotic and irresponsible.
“In addition, Prime Minister Modi himself has spoken to Bhagwant Mann, the Home Minister has spoken, and assurances of every possible help have been given,” Chugh noted.
He accused the Bhagwant Mann government itself has not even conducted a real assessment of the damage, nor has it formed special teams.
