JAMMU: Christian Star won its second consecutive match in the ongoing First Prem Nath Dogra Memorial Gold Cup Football Tournament, played at Mini Stadium, Parade here on Monday. In today match, Christian Star outplayed Shine Blue by 2-0.
The winning team was given a cash prize of Rs 3,100 by Anil Gupta, Ex Vice President Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCI). It is pertinent to mention that Christian Star defeated Param Risers by 1-0 yesterday.
In today’s match, Speaker, Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta was the Chief Guest while Ved Prakash Sharma President Brahman Sabha, Vinod Mahajan President Mahajan Sabha, Murair Lal President Kashyap Rajput Sabha, Kasturi Lal Basotra President Sain Samaj, Anil Gupta Ex Vice President CCI and Sanjay Pandoh Secretary Khatri Sabha were the Guests of Honour.
MLA Jammu East as also is the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Rajesh Gupta welcomed the Chief Guest by presenting him a memento.
Kavinder Gupta, while interacting with the teams, congratulated the Organising Committee for organising the tournament to explore the hidden talent of the youth of the region. The members of the Organising Committee present on the occasion were Naresh Dogra, Rakesh Khanna, Mohan Lal, Fietous Sohtra, Gagan Kumar, Arunb Jasrotia, S.M Gill, Bharat Bushan and Vikram Singh.
