RAJOURI: Choudhary Volleyball Club, Rajouri clinched the title trophy of Manjakote Volleyball Championship which was organised by Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavana at Manjakote, here.
In the title clash, Choudhary Club defeated Asan Volleyball Club 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-20). The event held with the sole motive to engage the youth in constructive activities through the medium of sports.
Toseef Ahmed of winner Choudhary Volleyball Club Rajouri was declared best player of the tournament. The final officiated by the technical penal including Intazar Ali, Ikhlaq Ahmed, Shabir khan, Rashid Khan, Shakeel Khan, Jameel Ahmed and Shabir Ahmed.
The event held under the supervision of Lt Col DK Singh, 155 TA JAK RIF/ 13 Sector RR / CIF Romeo Force in support with Rajouri Volleyball Association and J&K Sports Council.
Brigadier P Acharya, Commander HQ 13 Sector RR was the chief guest in the valedictory function. He appreciate the efforts officers from 155 TA JAK RIF and incharge Rajouri Volleyball Association, Mohd Tariq. Col RS Thakur, Commanding Officer of 155 INF BN TA JAK RIF was guest of honour.
Among those present were Shabir Ahmed Khan (former minister), Toseef Ahmed (SDPO Manjakote), Tesildar Manjakote, Mohd Tariq, Rashid Khan, Imtaiz Ahmed and Shabir Khan.
