Puducherry Sept 20 (PTI) Chief Minister of Puducherry, N Rangasamy today kickstarted the International Coastal clean up programme on the sea shore near the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, here.
He said volunteers from various organisations, students and environmentalists joined hands to ensure a “trash free environment” on the occasion.
Rangasamy lauded the initiatives taken by the Indian Coast Guard Station, here to implement the programme in association with the Local Administration Department of Puducherry, National Service Scheme and Puducherry Coastal Zone Management Authority.
