R.S. PURA: Former Minister and General Secretary JKPCC R.S Chib demanded that the compensation being paid to victims of Pakistani unprovoked shelling on our civil population should be enhanced.
Chib while addressing the residents of Jeora-Farm, condemned the shameless act of Pakistan Army in which innocent people are being killed and injured and there is huge loss of household buildings and live stock. He expressed his grief and sympathy to those, who lost their more than 15, buffaloes and 11 goats and also those who are injured and struggling for their lives in Govt. Medical College-Jammu.
Chib also visited village Chakro, where more than 4,000 people along with their buffaloes , household items have migrated. He, while talking to DC Jammu Ajit Sahu and SDM R.S Pura stressed upon them that at least about ten trucks of fodder should be arranged and provided to these migrated families and an immediate arrangement be made for ration and water for these families. He said that for each buffalo/cow, killed in Pak firing compensation should be paid at least 25,000 per cattle and Rs. 10,000 per injured cattle. The people demanded that a sum of rupees five lakh should be paid for one person, who lost his life in Pak-Shelling.
The residents of Jeora having more than 4,000 cattle demanded their shifting to open places like Bank of river Tawi or Behlol, where there is adequate quantity of water available for their cattle.
Chib also demanded, the allotment of small plots (at least five Marlas) for families, residing on zero-line or within five kilometers of border line. Chib reiterated, that the government both State and Central should take it seriously and take an immediate decision to redress the long pending demand of border residents.
