KISHTWAR: To promote sports amongst youth, army organised Chenab Valley Volleyball Tournament under Operation Sadhbhavana which was inaugurated at Chowgan Ground, here on Monday.
“A Total of 12 teams, four each from Kishtwar, Doda and Ramban districts, are participating in the eight-day tournament which would be conducted on a league-cum-knockout basis,” Officiating Defence Spokesperson Col N.N Joshi said adding that the final will be played on August 7, 2017.
The prizes includes a championship trophy, individual mementos and cash prizes for winner and runners up team and also for the teams securing third and fourth positions in the tournament, he said.
