Check anti-social elements from disturbing peace: VHP

STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Vishav Hindu Parishad (VHP) took serious note of the procession taken out at Rajouri by some elements that are bent upon to disturb the communal harmony and threatened to construct a mosque at Sunderbani where Smadhis of martyrs exist.
Speaking to media persons here on Friday, State VHP President, Leela Karan Sharma alleged that certain anti-social elements in connivance with Auqaf have been trying to vitiate the peaceful atmosphere of Sunderbani by attempting to construct a mosque at a place which is being managed and visited by Hindus. He claimed that the site in conflict is the property of Hindu saints housing several Smadhis worshiped as Beerbaba. “Though, with the passage of time, the nomenclature of this place was changed and it is now called as Peerbaba”, he added.
He further alleged that some elements having vested interests are trying to grab the properties of Hindu saints and the move to construct a mosque at Sunderbani is also the part of conspiracy. He warned the administration to check such elements from vitiating the tranquility of the region. He urged the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Inspector General of Police and Deputy Commissioner Rajouri to take action against such anti-social elements to ensure lasting peace and communal harmony.
