Chattisgarh, Assam, Haryana boys lead in chess


JAMMU: Dhananjay of Chattisgarh, Singh Soram Rahul of Assam and Vikram Ranolia and Anand Rathi, both from Haryana were leading with four points at the end of round four in the ongoing J and K Police FIDE Rating (below 2000) Chess Tournament at MA Stadium, here on Thursday.
These four outside players are closely followed by three competitors from host J and K, including Khalid Amin, securing 3.5 points out of four rounds.
Earlier, two rounds of play took place on the second day today in morning and afternoon sessions under the overall guidance of Chief Arbiter, Dharminder Kumar.
This competition is organised by All J and K Chess Association with the support of J and K State Sports Council involving 115 players from different states of the country.
