Challan produced against Revenue Official

SRINAGAR: Police Station Vigilance Organization Kashmir on Monday produced a Challan of case FIR No 32/2014 against accused public servant namely Ghulam Rasool Shah resident of Pricho Pulwama, the then Patwari Halqa Lethpora, Pulwama was produced in the Court of Additional Anti-corruption Judge Pulwama presided by Verinder Singh Bhou.
The instant case was registered in Police Station Vigilance Organisation, Kashmir on the basis of a written complaint lodged by Farooq Ahmad Mir resident of Hatiwar Lethpora Pulwama alleged therein that he has submitted an application to Tehsildar Pampore on 4th July 2014 after depositing the prescribed fees in Government Treasury for obtaining revenue extracts with regard to land falling under Survey No. 285 at village Estate Lethpora which was endorsed by the concerned Tehsildar to Patwari Halqa Lethpora who adopted delay tactics and finally demanded Rs. 5,000 as bribe from him for providing the said revenue extracts. After great persuasion by the complainant who was against the bribe brought Rs. 2000 with VOK for taking legal action in to the matter.
After registration of case FIR No 32/2014 Police Station Vigilance Organisation, Kashmir, the trap team headed by Dy. SP Syroz Ahmad accused Patwari was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting a bribe amount of Rs. 2,000 from the complainant. The investigation of the case was concluded as proved against the accused and after the accord of Govt. sanction for launching prosecution, the Challan of the case was produced before the Court of Special Anti-Corruption Judge Pulwama for Judicial determination.
