Chairman SIDCO receives cheque for land allotment fee from Dabur India

JAMMU: Chairman J and K SIDCO and Industries and Commerce Minister, Chander Parkash Ganga on Friday received a cheque of Rs. 7 crore from Dabur India Limited as land allotment fees in upcoming new Industrial Growth Centre, Samba-Phase III.
Amit Sharma, Managing Director J and K SIDCO, R.S Tara Director Industries Jammu, R.S Sharma OSD to I and C Minister, Alok Gupta, Plant Head of Dabur India, Vikram Gupta GM SIDCO, Pankaj Gupta XEn SIDCO and Estates Managers of SIDCO were also present in a function held here on Friday.
It is worthwhile to mention here that IGC Samba, third phase is coming up in a big way in which about 1,500 Kanals of land has already been acquired and about 1300 Kanals are being acquired soon for allotment to prospective unit holders. Recently, a committed investment of about Rs. 2,500 crore was approved in 40th Apex Project Clearance Committee Meeting held under the chairpersonship of Chief Secretary, J and K and guidance of Commissioner/ Secretary I and C Department, out of which two premier blue-chip companies Bluestar India and Dabur India have already been allotted land and J and K SIDCO has earned revenues of about Rs.20 crore due to these land allotments.
These two plants within themselves are investing about Rs.350 crore and planning to employ about 1,000 unemployed youth of the State here.
I and C Minister, after receiving the cheque, assured that J and K SIDCO will leave no stone unturned in successful execution of these two projects in best professional manner. He mentioned explicitly that after his taking over as Industries and Commerce Minister since last one year, this sector has seen ample growth and attracted huge investments with relentless efforts of J and K SIDCO team under leadership of MD SIDCO Amit Sharma. On the sidelines of this occasion, Chairman SIDCO Chander Parkash Ganga once again reiterated his resolve and vision towards simplifying procedures in I and C Department and attracting much more huge investments in J and K with a team of young officers of the Department. On culmination, MD J and K SIDCO expressed thanks to Chairman SIDCO to receive the cheque from Dabur India in the presence of all officers while assuring him of total dedication and focus to bring-up the new IGC Samba-III as one of the model Industrial Estate of J and K under his able guidance and support.
