JAMMU: The Chief Education Officer (CEO), Jammu, in collaboration with ALIMCO Mohali organised artificial limbs camp in different educational zones of district Jammu.
The main venues of the camps were Government Middle School Khour (Zone Khour), Government Model Middle School Satwari (Zone Satwari) and Government Middle School Mill Area (Zone RS Pura).
The children studying in different schools in the age group 6-18 years were provided assistance devices recommended to them by the team of experts during the assessment camp. About 84 children were provided assistance devices including tricycles, wheel chairs, calipers, hearing aids, MISED kits (for children suffering from mental retardation), rolators, walking sticks, smart canes, Braille kits, C.P chairs, etc. The programme was concluded at Government Middle School Mill Area in the presence of Zonal Education Officer RS Pura, Arnia and Satwari.
The Chief Guest of the programme was MLA Dr. Gagan Bhagat, who distributed aids and appliances among the needy children in the presence of Inclusive Education Group members hailing from the office of Chief Education Officer, Jammu.
