STATE TIMES NEWS
JAMMU: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh on Saturday said that perpetuators of violence in Jammu and Kashmir will be dealt firmly and not to be spared, no matters what position they hold.
Reacting against the backdrop of NIA raids conducted at around 29 locations in Kashmir and New Delhi in connection with the terror funding case, Dr Singh said that old days are gone and nobody will be spared.
“I have got the information that raids were conducted at several places. By this, the Central and State governments have given a clear message to the people at large who are at fault,” Dr Singh told reporters here.
He said that this government is not going to compromise on these issues. “Old days are gone. Such elements either have to be on right path or they shall be taken to task,” he added.
Dr Singh further said, “The Government wants that all such activities which are hampering peace and development, to be dealt firmly.”
“By acts like demonetisation and search raids besides other actions initiated in the recent past, some people were caught red handed on the camera,” he said
“We will also enquire if any politician is hand in glove with them (separatists), law will take its own course,” he asserted and alleged
that some of the politicians instead of contributing
to peace, are playing
spoilsport.
On Pakistan’s ceasefire violation, Dr Singh said, “Pakistan is being given befitting reply. Army has been given free hand to deal with the situation.”
He said that project of construction of bunkers is also in pipeline and will be set up aoon along the border.
On upcoming Amarnath Yatra starting from June 29, Dr Singh said, “Security is beefed up and will be further enhanced.”
