JAMMU: Heritage School won the under-14 and MHAC Nagbani clinched under-19 title of the CBSE Inter School Sahodaya Football Tournament hosted by JP World School, which concluded on Thursday.
In Under-14, Heritage School smashed MHAC Nagbani by 1-0 while in under-19, MHAC Nagbani outplayed JK Public School by 5-1.
In the closing ceremony, Colonel Kapil Dev Kaushal, Principal Sainik School Nagrota was the Chief Guest who gave away the prizes to the winners in the presence of Ashok Singh Manhas, Trustee of JPWS, S.K Singh, Principal JK Public School and Jitinder Singh Hundal, Principal JP World School.
In all, 23 teams from different CBSE schools took part in the tournament.
Colonel Kaushal, while addressing the teams, highlighted the importance of sports spirit in player’s life. He also congratulated the winner teams, their coaches and the Principal J.S Hundal, teachers- Dinesh Thapa, Harpreet Singh and Abhimanyu for smoothly organising the tournament.
In the end, vote of thanks was presented by J.S Hundal.
