CBSE holds workshop for teachers at DPS Leh

LEH: Central Board of School Education (CBSE) conducted workshop for the teachers on Capacity Building Programme in Mathematics at Delhi Public School Leh. Trilok Singh Bist, Principal, Jodhamal Public School Jammu was the Resource Person.
The workshop was inaugurated by Jigmet Takpa, Conservator of Forest/ Director Ladakh Renewable Energy Development Agency.
Earlier, the principal, faculty and students welcomed the Chief Guest and Trilok Singh Bist.
The Head Girl of the School applied Vermillion to dignitaries followed by the presentation of the Khataks by the principal.
The programme began with the lighting of the traditional lamp followed by Saraswati Vandana. The welcome song was presented by the school choir.
Capacity Building Programme in Mathematics shall be extended for two days.
During the course of workshop teaching of mathematics, planning to teach, gender sensitisation, group work and discussion followed by the challenging areas and common errors in mathematics, teaching diverse learners assessment both SA-1 and SA-2 shall be discussed.
Jigmet Takpa complimented the CBSE and the school principal for organising the workshop for the teachers which are 40 in number drawn from different CBSE affiliated schools of Leh.
According to Trilok Singh Bist, “The teaching fraternity has tagged Mathematics to be complicated which severly affect the mindset of students regarding the subject.”
Principal of the School, Subhash Kumar Baldotra said that the Mathematics is the simpler, easier and subject of practice.
“More we practice more we become comfortable and gain more knowledge about the subject,” he added.
Executive-member and Educational Adviser DPS Leh T.P Singh also congratulated the principal and staff-members.
