CBI registers case for grabbing land worth crores

JAMMU: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against Sominder Singh alias Saminder Singh alias Sourav, son of Late Darshan Singh, resident of village Nan, Kuldeep Kour, wife of Late Darshan Singh, resident of village Nari, Tehsil R S Pura, Jammu and unknown public servants for grabbing land worth crores of rupees.
According to CBI, Dr Mohammad Usman Khan, KAS, Deputy Secretary, GAD, Government of J&K conveyed the decision of Government for investigation by CBI into allegations regarding forgery of documents to grab prime land worth crores, on basis of a report received from Deputy Commissioner, Jammu.
CBI after perusal of report, which revealed prima facie criminal conspiracy hatched by the accused to grab prime land worth crores by use of forged documents and register a regular case against accused namely Saminder Singh alias Sourav, son of Late Darshan Singh, resident of village Nan, Kuldeep Kour, wife of Late Darshan Singh, resident of village Nari, Tehsil R S Pura, unknown public servants and others under section 120-B read with 420, 467, 468, 471 of IPC and section 13 of PC Act 1988 and same was entrusted to Vikas Ranot, Inspector CBI for investigation.
