JAMMU: Special Crime Wing (SCW) of Crime Branch Jammu on Tuesday filed a charge-sheet against an accused person for duping a B.Ed student with job promise.
The charge-sheet was filed in the Court of Special Mobile Magistrate Poonch for judicial determination of accused, Sartaj Khalid a resident of Salian Bufliaz Surankote Poonch, in case FIR 33/2023 under Section 420-IPC of Police Station SCW Jammu.
The case was investigated by Inspector Deepak Thakur of Special Crime Wing, Crime Branch Jammu under overall supervision of Sanjay Parihar SSP, Crime Branch (SCW) Jammu and challaned in the court of Special Mobile Magistrate, Poonch.
The case was registered on written complaint of a student, belonging to a BPL family, who was pursuing her B. Ed course from Poonch College of Education, CB official said adding that student came into the contact of one the accused person namely Sartaj Khalid through one of her classmates.
“The accused pretended himself to be an influential person having links with higher officials of the department and can arrange employment for the educated youth in different departments,” official added.
At the time of introduction, official said, accused pretended himself as JE in PDD and assured the complainant that he will arrange employment for her in lieu of Rs. 4 lakh.
After a thorough and professional investigation by the I/O, the case was finally proved against the accused person and the offence under Section 420- IPC got established against Sartaj Khalid, official said adding that a team of Special Crime Wing of Crime Branch Jammu produced the accused before the Court and accordingly charge-sheet has been presented against him before the Court of Special Mobile Magistrate Poonch for judicial determination.
