Cash transportation by BJP minister; allegations baseless: Madhav

Jammu: BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav on Wednesday rejected the allegations made against one BJP minister of transporting a large currency of demonitised note in his official vehicle, saying that the charges are “baseless” and “false.”
“There is no truth in these allegations. I request you (media) to think over it when you give importance to such allegations,” he told reporters here on Wednesday.
“I had held a full enquiry into this and talked to all the concerned and our party people. They all have said that these are baseless allegations,” the party incharge of the State added.
Madhav also ruled out any reshuffle in the state cabinet.
“I don t know about PDP. As far as BJP is concerned, there is no reshuffle on the cards,” he said.
He also hit at National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah for supporting the Hurriyat’s call in this regard and questioned the leader’s “change of mind”.
“Farooq Abdullah’s statement is very unfortunate and surprising. He is the same Farooq, who used to release statements against Hurriyat Conference in Kashmir Valley and suddenly he wants to move forward on the path of Hurriyat,” he said.
Earlier, BJP National General Secretary of called on Governor NN Vohra here at Raj Bhavan.
