Cantonment, Bhatia Academy advance in T20

JAMMU: Cantonment Club and Bhatia Cricket Academy, winning their respective matches, qualified for the next round of the Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Gold Cup Cricket Tournament underway at Government High School Ground, Satwari, here on Tuesday .
Cantonment Club defeated Guru Nanak Nagar Cricket Club by a margin of 36 runs. Batting first, after winning the toss, Cantonment set a target of 187 runs for six wickets. Vijay Dogra made highest 73 runs.
In reply, Guru Nanak Club lost all their wickets for 150 runs. Rahul Gorkha and Raja were top scorers with 29 and 27 runs respectively. Vijay Dogra secured three wickets for Cantonment.
Vijay Dogra was adjudged Man of the Match for his 73 runs innings and three wickets.
Meanwhile, in another scheduled match, Bhatia Cricket Academy trounced Bleed Blue. Earlier, batting first, Bleed Blue won the toss and opted to field. Batting first, Bhatia Academy made 183 runs with Vivek being top scorer. He made 30-ball 63 runs. From Bleed Blue, Anshul took three wickets.
Later, Bleed Blue could not maintain the required run rate and exhausted their quota of overs for 176 runs. Rahul and Akash (not out) were top scorers with 44 runs each. Sanchit of Bhatia Academy took three wickets.
For his superb batting, Vivek was declared Man of the Match.
