SRINAGAR: Former Minister Abdul Gani Vakil said that Jammu and Kashmir is passing through a critical phase with almost routine reports of killings of innocent people. Situation warrants calling an all party meet to discuss issues threadbare for arresting and stringently putting stop at increasing lawlessness in the State.
In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he urged upon the Chief Minister to immediately call an all party meeting over the killings. “Situation cannot be allowed to deteriorate any further,” added Vakil.
“State was passing through a critical phase and it is the duty of both the Central and the State Government to take drastic measures to curb human rights violations, which is must for restoring confidence of commoners in the rule of law,” he added.
