JAMMU: The State Cabinet is schedule to be meet on Thursday at Srinagar at 11:00 AM.
Reliable sources informed that the cabinet will recommend financial proposal to Central Government for one time settlement of PoK, West Pakistan and Chhamb refugees residing in Jammu and Kashmir.
The recommendations made by the Wadhwa Committee regarding the settlement of PoK refugees were referred to Cabinet Sub Committee headed by Finance Minister Abdul Rahim Rather for examination and now the Cabinet will approve it for referring to the Centre.
Besides, the Cabinet may enhance the ration money in favour of the J&K Police personnel. The Cabinet may also accord approval for setting up of the social welfare office at Bani in Kathua district and in North Kashmir.
The adjustment of newly promoted six IGPs and 24 SPs is also on cards, sources said.
