BHADARWAH: Bhadarwah Youth Action Committee (BYAC) President Naseer Mehboob demanded a CBI probe into the embezzlement of government funds worth lacks of rupees in various projects in Bhadarwah Development Authority.
President BYAC and RTI activist Naseer Mehboob said he had moved several applications to the, Bhadarwah Development Authority, Social Welfare, Rural Development, Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution and the Public Works Department seeking details about the expenditure of government funds.
“Interestingly, no official concerned has cared to respond and provide information under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, RTI activists alleged and further said that that information sought under the RTI Act Departments was not given, which was a glaring example of the violation of the RTI Act.
Naseer said that he had moved several applications under the RTI Act to get information from the Bhadarwah Development Authority, CAPD, PWD and Rural Development departments where funds worth crores were embezzled by the officials concerned by fraudulently allotting development works. Naseer Mehboob said that BDA has provided information after three months and on reading the same he found that so many payments will be made fraudulently by the authority under Ayush project against without completion of the project on ground. He demanded CBI inquiry of the said Ayush project.
