JAMMU: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), a social organization working for the welfare of people all across the country on these basic points Sampark, Sehyog, Sanskar, Sewa and Samarpan, on Sunday celebrated its 60th Foundation Day at Tagore School, Rani Talab, Digiana here. The function organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad J&K Prant and Sanjay Nagar Branch in which various activities including plantation drive, blood donation camp & free medical checkup camp by team of doctors from Narayana Superspeciality Hospital Katra held. The Chief Guest, Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, appreciated the activities of Bharat Vikas Parishad while Guest of Honour, Dev Raj Sharma, Regional President, spoken on the national level achievement like artificial limbs, group marriage, rain water harvesting techniques etc. Garib Singh, Chairman Tagore Higher Secondary School and Advocate Sudershan Sharma were the Special Guests.
The function started with the lighting of lamp and recitation of Vande Matram. Munesh Raina, Branch President gave the welcome address. Arun Sharma, Regional General Secretary presented the vote of thanks. Narinder Mishra, J&K General Secretary conducted the proceedings of the programme.
Others present were Anita Sharma, B.B Sharma, Vijay Sharma, Rajesh Gupta, Trishula Gupta and Ashok Gupta. Dr. J.P. Singh (Clinical Director) and Dr. Gopal Sharma (CAO SMVDNSH) were the Special Guests from SMVDNSH.
Doctors from SMVD Narayana Super Specialty Hospital Katra available at camp include Dr. Sushant Kumar (Cardiology), Dr. Mohd Shamim (Pulmonology), Dr. Shiv Kumar (Urology) and Dr. Nitee (Ortho).
The programme ended with the National Anthem.
