JAMMU: Students of JK Public School Kunjwani in their weekly Club activity, namely, Sanjeev Kapoor Club of MasterChefs, attempted the making of Tricolour Sandwich. Reflecting on the selection of the recipe, Club Incharge Monica Sharma shared that on the great occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) and 76th Independence Day, the budding MasterChefs of JKPS Kunjwani decided to prepare Indian Tricolour sandwich. It was indeed an inspiring one, and kids and elders alike loved the combination of its energizing colours.
TRI-COLOUR SANDWICH
INGREDIENTS: 6 bread slices, 4 cheese slices, Carrot (grated), 1 medium-sized cucumber, Mayonnaise, Tomato ketchup (small pouch), Green chutney, Common salt & Black pepper.
MATERIAL REQUIRED: Plate (plastic/steel) 2 Nos, Gloves, Apron, Sanitizer & Mask.
Recipe: The sides of the white bread were cut neatly. On the bread slice, green chutney was applied and cucumber pieces were placed. It was then stuffed with Cheese slice. Further, another slice of bread was placed to get a white layer in the middle. Further mayonnaise and grated carrots were spread. Then it was seasoned with some salt and crushed black pepper. Finally the third bread slice was placed and cut the sandwich into two halves. Tricolour sandwich was ready to serve.

Fruit Chaat recipe made with the combination of finally chopped fruits. It is topped with the spices like Chaat Masala and pepper, which makes it an ideal evening snack with a cup of tea.
INGREDIENTS: Banana (1), apple (1), pear (1), grapes (1 bunch), kiwi (1), chaat masala, salt, cumin powder, black pepper, pudina leaves, & lemons (2)
MATERIAL REQUIRED: Bowl for mixing, Plate (plastic/steel) 2 Nos, spoon or stirrer for mixing, peeler, disposable bowls, Gloves, Apron, Sanitizer & Mask
Recipe: Firstly, all the fruits are chopped and taken in a large mixing bowl. Then black pepper, chaat masala, salt, cumin powder and pudina leaves are added to it. Then it was mixed well without mashing fruits. Now lemon juice was added & mixed well, as adding lemon juice prevents fruits from browning. Finally, the fruit chaat recipe is ready. It tastes great when, it is served chilled.
