JAMMU: If your mobile beeps late night-make sure that it is not into the hands of your better half because the messages circulated by the country’s most trusted telecom company Bharat Sanchar Nagar Limited (BSNL) may land you into trouble and create rift between married couples.
The sensuous messages being circulated by the BSNL at least four to five times a day are embarrassing its subscribers on many occasions.
Messages like, ‘Koi Bahana Nahin Chalega, Free Hoon Mein, Call Karo Mujhe…’, ‘Deewana Bana De Apko…Aisa Jadoo Hai Mere Paas…’, ‘Kya Aap Ghar Pe Akele Hein…To Phone Lagaiye Mujhe’, have left BSNL subscribers dejected.
The messages circulated on BSNL subscribers’ cell phones lure subscribers to chat and gossip on the numbers displayed in the messages.
“Such messages are too much and can be troublesome especially for youngsters,” a subscriber rued.
He added that these messages are being circulated from numbers BP-652929, BP-654321, BP-654000 and many others.
“The messages sometimes make us to face embarrassment, especially when we are in a group or a company and phone suddenly beeps,” another subscriber said, adding, “the moment we open the text message sensing that some important messages is received but it is embarrassing moment,” he asserted.
“It is nuisance. I also faced a tough situation one fine day making my wife to make her understand that the messages are being circulated by the BSNL and are promotional texts,” a subscriber said while lashing out at the service provider.
He has also requested the BSNL authorities to lay curb on such messages as they can also ruin the youth, who can easily get fascinated to such texts.
“The subscribers in the messages are being asked to call back on the circulated numbers for chatting to an unknown ‘friend’ and once you do it, your number automatically gets registered to an unknown group for more text messages,” rued a subscriber.
The messages make offer to its subscribers like, ‘Dhoom Machi Hai Chatting Aur Doston Ki Friends Club Par. Aap Bhi Shamil Ho Jayein Aur Karein Manchahi Baatein. Dial Karein.’
Meanwhile, some of the subscribers have also warned to knock the doors of the court seeking directions to prevent circulation of such messages.
“If BSNL is being paid by any of the promotional advertisement company, it does not mean that only for the sake of money, country’s reputed telecom service provider, will bother its subscribers,” said a BSNL user.
