JAMMU: BSF School celebrated Annual Day with fun and fervour, here on Sunday.
Rakesh Sharma IG BSF Jammu FTR, the Chairman of the school was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Pratibha Sharma, President BWWA presided over the function as the Guest of Honour.
The event began with the Ganesh Vandana.
Principal BSF School Jammu, Dr S.S Khokhar read out the School’s Annual Report highlighting the prominent achievements of the school during this academic year in scholastic and co scholastic areas and reiterated the importance of parental engagement and managements’ support in partnership with the school.
He also assured the parents and the management that BSF School Jammu will continue its unceasing efforts to mould the young minds into well balanced personalities and will strive to maintain its position of being J and K’s No.1 Day-Cum-Boarding School.
Through the very appealing theme of “Sapno Ki Manzil”, the tiny tots and budding artists showcased their talents by means of group song, orchestra, ballet, thematic dance performances etc.
Happy Green Day highlighted the students’ concern for Mother Nature being ravaged by the reckless insensitive actions of man. A folk dance by Primary students reflected the diverse hues of India. The most riveting performance which drew an unceasing applause was the Dance Drama based on the theme “Sapno Ki Manzil”. Apart from this, the children performed an unusual and vast array of dances. Dashavtaar Dance by secondary students marked a befitting finale to the colourful programme.
The Chief Guest gave the prizes to the meritorious students who had excelled in academics and various competitions at State, National and International levels. He expressed appreciation for the laudable efforts of the Principal and his team for making the school J&Ks No.1 School. They must strive hard to maintain the position for which the management will render all the support.
He congratulated the National Award winner Dr S S Khokhar, Principal BSF School Jammu for promoting quality education among students and helping the school reach the pinnacle of glory through his futuristic approach.
The vote of thanks was presented by the Headmaster BSF Primary School, Gayatri Kotwal followed by the National Anthem.
