BSF pushes back armed terrorists on IB

STATE TIMES NEWS JAMMU: Alert troops of Border Security Force on Monday pushed back a group of heavily armed terrorists and foiled infiltration bid from across the border on International Border in Samba district twice in less than a week. “BSF troops foiled another infiltration attempt at International Border from Pakistan side in Samba sector of Jammu region,” BSF spokesman here said. Pertinent to mention here that STATE TIMES had already reported under the title ‘Saeed’s house-arrest’ may spark tension on J&K borders’ in its edition. He said that at around 0845 hours, a group of heavily armed terrorists reached close to International Boundary in Pakistan side taking advantage of undulating ground. “Terrorists resorted to heavy fire on forward BSF troops deployed on duty mound from automatic weapons,” he said adding that own troops swiftly organized coordinated effective fire over them, not only to suppress their fire but forced to retreat. Thus, alert BSF sentries foiled the ferocious stand-off attack from heavily armed terrorists from Pakistan by giving them a befitting reply, he added. He further added that this fire was fully supported by heavy fire from Pakistan posts but same was responded in a befitting manner. Earlier on February 2 also, BSF foiled infiltration attempt from Pakistan side amid violation of ceasefire agreement.
