JAMMU: To facilitate the border residents, 86 battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) organised a free medical and health check-up camp at Village Kanachak here on Monday.
Commandant of 86 Bn BSF, Manoj Kumar Barnwal inaugurated the campo besides Sarpanch Dewan Singh was also present.
During the camp, Dr Alok Singh Rongkali, MO 86 Bn BSF and team examined about 224 people of border villages and distributed free medicines amongst the needy.
Commandant Manoj Kumar Barnwal said that the people residing in border areas should be more aware about their health. He said that it is commonly seen that the medical facilities are not sufficient in border areas, hence to overcome this problem BSF occasionally organise such free medical camp in border areas.
