NOWSHERA: Beopar Mandal Nowshera and Sanatan Dharam Sabha Nowshera on Saturday rewarded a brave girl belonging to poor labour class family with a cash prize of Rs 3,100 who helped Nowshera Police in apprehending a thief red-handed while committing burglary after breaking the locks of shops in the market.
According to information two thieves struck a shop in the market two months back when this brave girl noticed their movement and skillfully caught hold of one of them and raised alarm. Consequently, locals reached the spot and overpowered the thief and finally handed him over to the police.
Since the girl identified as Sahita, daughter of Thaggu, resident of UP at present Nowshera, exhibited the extra ordinary courage and bravery by putting her life and respect at risk and saving the businessmen from heavy loss, the Beopar Mandal Nowshera and Sanatan Dharam Sabha Nowshera rewarded the girl with a cash prize of Rs 3,100 on Saturday. The office bearers of Beopar Mandal and Sanatan Dharam Sabha appealed to the SDM Nowshera and the Police authorities to give due appreciation and recognition to the brave girl to boost the morale of women folk.
