Brahman Sabha commemorates Maj Somnath Sharma PVC

JAMMU: Brahman Sabha Jammu and Kashmir observed the death anniversary of first Param Vir Chakar (PVC) Major Somnath Sharma in Raipur-Domana here on Monday.
President of sabha Shakti Dutt Sharma paid homage late Major Somnath followed by a Havan in the premises of Bawa Kailakh Dev temple.
Major Sharma was born on 31st January 1923 in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh in a Brahmin family. He was known for his courage and bravery. He was one of the gallant soldiers, who laid his life for the sake of country’s integrity.
General Secretary S D Sabha, Parbhat Singh said that the bravery of Major Somnath Sharma helped in maintaining unity of Kashmir with India. Mahant Rohit Shastri appealed to the central and state governments for renaming Jammu Airport as Major Somanth Sharma Airport.
Kamal Sharma, Deepak Sharma, Rampaul Seth, Pt Dev Dutt Shastri, Rajat Soodan, Sunil Raka, Yash Seth, Suresh Sharma, Ajay Soodan and other were also present.
