Bovine smuggling bid foiled: J&K Police arrests 2 smugglers: 24 bovines rescued

SAMBA: J&K Police has successfully foiled bovine smuggling attempt, arrested two bovine smugglers and rescued twenty four bovines in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ghagwal.

A Police party of Police Post Rajpura headed by Incharge PP Rajpura under SHO PS Ghagwal has successfully foiled bovine smuggling attempt near Madoon, arrested two bovine smugglers and rescued twenty four bovines which were being smuggled by foot from Kathua side towards Samba side via border road.

The arrested bovine smugglers have been identified as Pawan Singh S/o Teju Ram R/o Divka district Samba and Aslam S/o Khalil Ahmed R/o Palah Morh  district Samba.

A case FIR No. 164/2024 u/s 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Ghagwal and investigation started.
