SAMBA: Police on Sunday foiled a bovine smuggling bid by rescuing 12 bovines from the clutches of the smugglers.
According to a report, during the Nakka on Jammu-Pathankot national highway near Tapiyal Morh (Ghagwal), Ghagwal police intercepted one truck bearing registration number JK14B-1206 and rescued 12 bovines loaded in it. However, driver managed to escape, police has registered a vide FIR No. 27/16 under section 188 RPC and 2/3 PCA.
