Border Lions Club, Trikuta Club win Jammu Volleyball trophies

JAMMU: The talented side of Border Lions Club Pallanwala boys and Trikuta Club girls clinched the title trophies of the 36th Jammu District Volleyball Championship which was organized by Jammu District Volleyball Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council at MA Stadium, here today.
In the boys final, Border Lions Club defeated Sports Authority of India (SAI) 3-025-23, 28-26, 25-17 whereas in girls section, Trikuta Club defeated Trikuta Seniors 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 28-26).

President Volleyball Association of J&K (VAJK), Sidharth Daluja was the chief guest, who presented the title trophies in other individual prizes.
The founder and mentor of winners Border Lions Club, Puran Singh hailed the initiative taken by the organizers in boosting the morale of youngsters.
For his contributions in guiding the youngsters of the border town to excel in Volleyball, Dr. Manmeet Singh Amn, president and H S Gill, secretary of Jammu District Volleyball Association, felicitated Puran Singh.
Prominent among others present were chief executive officer of VAJK, Kuldip Magotra; RC Sharma, treasurer; Colonel Gurbaksh Singh Gill, Vijay Kumar Magotra, general secretary VAJK and Jaswant Singh, Company Commander of CRPF.
Among others present were Manmeet Kour, Suresh Chib, Subash Shastri, Parteek Kumar and Mulkh Raj Khajuria.
