“A patrolling party of the police post Poni Chak, intercepted one Raju Singh during a surprise check and recovered 53 pouches of country made liquor from his possession,” he said.
The accused was arrested on the spot and a case under various sections of the RPC (Jammu and Kashmir State Ranbir Penal Code) and Excise Act were registered against him, police added.
