KATRA: Continuing the drive against smuggling of liquor to Holy Town of Katra where sale of the same is banned, GRP Katra on Sunday arrested a bootlegger and recovered whisky bottles from his possession.
According to a report, checking party of GRP officials headed by Insp. Shahzad Ahmed Khan SHO GRP Katra apprehended one bootlegger Aashis Bali son of Sunil Bali resident of Railway Road Torwa Bilaspur Chattisgarh with some bottles of whiskey, which was being smuggled to Holy Town by him concealed in a bag. The Railway Police officials seized the bottles, arrested the accused and registered a case under FIR. No 09/2014 section 48-A Excise Act / 188 RPC at Police Station /S GRP Katra.
The operation was conducted under the directions and close supervision of A.K Mahajan SSP Railways Katra.
