KATRA: Police on Tuesday arrested a bootlegger and recovered 32 pouches of liquor from his possession.
According to a report, police team headed by Inspector Sanjeev Sharma, SHO Police Station Katra under the supervision of Dr. Ashok Sharma, SDPO Katra, Sumir Kotwal, Addl. SP Katra and overall supervision of Sujit Kumar, SSP Reasi, acting on a specific input, laid a special Naka on Katra-Udhampur Road at Matyal near petrol pump and during checking/frisking, the police team succeeded in recovering 32 pouches of J and K Excise Liquor from the possession of Kiran Kumar alias Goli son of Indru resident of Matyal Tehsil Katra District Reasi.
A case vide FIR No. 41/2016 U/S 48-A Act, 188/RPC was registered at Police Station Katra and investigation of the case is in progress.
