KATHUA: Police arrested a bootlegger and recovered 118 pouches of liquor from his possession.
According to a report, during the intervening night of 1st -2nd October, on reliable information, a police party of Police Station Lakhanpur laid special Naka near railway crossing Lakhanpur and intercepted one indica car (JK02M- 1191) in which accused was carrying liquor pouches.
During search, police recovered 118 pouches of J and K Excise from his possession.
A case vide FIR NO.93/ 2016 u/s 48-A Excise Act was registered at Police Station Lakhanpur.The acc-used was identified as Saran Singh son of Kirpa Ram resident of Rasooh at present Tara Nagar, Kathua.
